Telehealth Disclaimer

1. Nature of Telehealth Services Dallas Psychiatry Group offers telehealth services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and therapy sessions conducted via secure video conferencing platforms. Telehealth services are provided in compliance with applicable Texas state law and federal regulations.
2. Limitations of Telehealth While telehealth offers a convenient and effective option for many patients, it has limitations. Telehealth may not be appropriate for all conditions or situations. Limitations include:
Inability to conduct a full in-person physical examination
Technical issues such as poor internet connection may disrupt care
Certain prescriptions (including controlled substances) may be subject to additional restrictions when prescribed via telehealth
In some cases, an in-person visit may be required before or after a telehealth session
3. Eligibility Telehealth services are available to patients located in the state of Texas at the time of the appointment. Patients located outside of Texas may not be eligible to receive telehealth services due to state licensing requirements. It is the patient's responsibility to ensure they are in an eligible location at the time of their session.
4. Technology Requirements Patients are responsible for having a compatible device with a working camera, microphone, and a stable internet connection for telehealth sessions. Dallas Psychiatry Group is not responsible for technical difficulties on the patient's end.
5. Privacy and Confidentiality Telehealth sessions are conducted through HIPAA-compliant platforms. However, patients are encouraged to participate from a private location to protect the confidentiality of their session. Dallas Psychiatry Group cannot guarantee confidentiality if a patient chooses to participate from a non-private setting.
6. Emergencies Telehealth is not an emergency service. If you are experiencing a psychiatric or medical emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency room immediately. For mental health crisis support, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline), available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
7. Consent By scheduling and attending a telehealth appointment, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and consent to receiving care via telehealth. A separate telehealth informed consent form will also be provided at the time of your first telehealth appointment.
